Demand for sustainable and eco-friendly foods has continued to grow in the pandemic, especially among millennials and Gen Z, in a trend that offers opportunities for food makers and foodservice companies. More than half of US consumers say they're more likely to choose a restaurant based on eco-friendly practices, according to the National Restaurant Association.
