Aida Cruises to resume Europe operations in September

AIDA Cruises preparing for resumption of sailings from September 6 ...

Carnival Corporation-owned Aida Cruises has recently announced that it has decided to restart cruise operations in Europe starting from the beginning of September. The announcement comes following MSC Cruises’ decision to launch sailings next week. The decision follows approval from Italy, flag state of its fleet, of new safety measures in place onboard.

The first trips from Kiel will start on September 6 and the first cruises with AIDAperla to the Norwegian fjords will leave from Hamburg on September 12, 19 and 26, respectively. However, it has also been mentioned that all other departures will remain suspended as of now.

Aida Cruises said in a statement that the cruise line considers the process of providing all guests with key information regarding their vacation highly important. It also informed that the company very much regrets that the other voyages cannot take place as planned due to the situation and uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 crisis. It mentioned that all guests whose cruise cannot be carried out will be informed immediately.
