Greece has laid out plans to restart its tourism sector, with testing and quarantining measures based on where visitors arrive from. From 15-30 June, people can fly to Athens or second city Thessaloniki. Those coming from airports listed by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency as in areas with “high risk of transmission” of Covid-19 – including some in France, Sweden and the UK – will have to stay overnight in a designated hotel for testing: if they test negative, they must quarantine for seven days; if positive, they will be quarantined under supervision for 14 days. Those coming from elsewhere will be subject to random testing.
