A TOOWOOMBA bus company is just days away from resuming its services between the Garden City and Brisbane.
Greyhound Australia will return to the Warrego Highway on June 15, with new protocols in place for passengers and drivers.
“We are delighted to be taking bookings again for people looking to get a change of scenery after months of isolation and restrictions,” a company spokesperson said.
“As the birthplace of Greyhound, this is an important key market and therefore among the first services to re-open after our previous closures and service suspensions due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.”
The new measures in place to combat COVID-19 include enhanced cleaning protocols, baggage self-loading, and no travel for those displaying signs of illness.

“Greyhound was started in Toowoomba in 1928 and we’ve been through a number of challenges since that time, including several pandemics and periods of economic hardship,” the spokesperson said.
“We have been through so much and have always come out on the other side, so we’re looking forward to the reopening of interstate borders and reestablishment of our national network.”
Services will also recommence between Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne from 15 June.
According to its website, the other major coach company travelling between Toowoomba and Brisbane, Murrays, still has its route suspended.
