This fiasco with tourist visas has been well covered by @RichardBarrow and many others. It is hard to understand the decision making especially given the huge importance of tourism to the Thai economy. Instead visitors and immigration officers have been put an unnecessary risk.

EarthSafe–The Organization Behind the Electrostatic Disinfection System Major Airlines are Deploying

In February, Delta Air Lines began deploying a new electrostatic program from EarthSafe, a leading disinfection solutions company and developer of the EvaClean Infection Prevention System. Shortly thereafter, United and American Airlines followed suit.  Unbeknownst to the general public, EvaClean has been widely adopted by major airports in addition to airlines, including Hollywood Burbank, T.F. Green in Rhode Island, and Las Vegas McCarran TSA, as well as mass transportation systems, such as San Francisco’s Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), Martz Trailways, and many others.
