From December 14th it is possible for SAS travelers to choose SAS Go Light on all SAS flights from Scandinavia to the United States. SAS Go Light offers a lower price when travelling with carry-on luggage only. SAS Go Light was launched on European routes in 2015 in addition to SAS Go and SAS Plus. After the successful launch SAS is now expending the offer to the United States. SAS Go, SAS Plus and SAS Business will remain the same

Acquisition of Stockheim travel catering business

SSP Group PLC, a leading operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations worldwide, has agreed to acquire part of the Stockheim Group, a travel concessions business based in Germany. The business operates 25 food and beverage outlets in airports and railway stations, including at Dusseldorf and Cologne, and had sales in 2016 of approximately 30m. euros. The acquisition of these outlets will further strengthen SSP’s presence in travel locations across Germany, and is expected to complete in early 2018.
