MIAMI, FLORIDA - Traveltek Group Ltd will unveil its next-generation cruise booking platform to the North American market at this week’s CruiseWorld event in Fort Lauderdale.
Traveltek CruiseNX offers travel and cruise specialists a raft of enhanced capabilities designed to drive productivity and enhance the user experience.
The next-generation platform, available for desktop and as a new B2C website journey, has been developed in partnership with some of Traveltek’s major clients including US travel specialists Tully Luxury Travel and Your Travel Services.
“Our product development team listened to feedback from companies with in-depth user experience of our cruise technology and the result was the creation of Traveltek CruiseNX, a powerful booking tool and a global market first,” said Peter Whittle, Global Sales Director, Traveltek.
“When you combine the multiple enhancements Traveltek CruiseNX delivers with our unrivalled content of 190-plus cruise lines, dynamic packaging tool with flight and hotel options that creates unique itineraries, plus multi-currency and multi-language capabilities to offer global coverage, we are taking a major leap forward in helping the North American travel industry drive more cruise sales via all distribution channels.”
From a more streamlined booking process and the ability to book multiple cabins in one search journey, to fast filtering that helps agents find the ideal cruise based on their customer’s preferences and profile, Traveltek, through its CruiseNX platform, is once again transforming the way the travel industry sells cruise.
Key features of Traveltek CruiseNX include:
- Highlights upgrade opportunities;
- Enhanced ‘manage my booking’ and filter options;
- Advanced search criteria including favorite destinations, multiple destinations and number of available itineraries per destination;
- Powerful filter options by price or cruise line benefits and other criteria;
- New price-range sliders;
- Display of cabin grades, pricing options and deck plans on one page for easy selection and booking;
- Enhanced itinerary maps;
- The ability to book multiple cabins in one booking journey.
These benefits will help North American cruise and travel bookers capitalise on the industry’s strong growth, with 81% of travel agents in this market revealing their cruise-based sales volume has increased in 2017 compared to 73% in 2016, according to the Travel Agent Cruise Industry Outlook report by Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA).
“Value and service are the most important factors driving cruise guest satisfaction, according to agents in this report, who also claim 78% of cruisers are spending more compared to last year,” said Whittle.
“By harnessing CruiseNX, these bookers can create bespoke and highly-detailed cruise itineraries for their discerning clients quickly and efficiently. They can then dynamically package them with pre- and post-cruise travel, from flights and transfers to accommodation and more, to truly maximize their revenue-earning opportunities.”
Traveltek, which has a regional office in Miami, is showcasing CruiseNX and its full range of travel technology solutions at CruiseWorld, which takes place at the Fort Lauderdale Convention Center from November 15th to 17th.
