It was revealed by the chairman of Silversea that the line had exercised its option for an additional ship after the recent coming up of the Silver Moon. The addition is expected to take the Silversea’s fleet to 11.
The $310 million ‘ultra-luxury’ ship –Silver Moon was revealed in September. Chances are that two more will be added in the future. Silver Moon the sister ship of Silver Muse will join the fleet in 2020.
Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio during the Silver Cloud expedition ship shakedown in Montevideo, Uruguay spoke on the future of ships and said that they were aiming for atleast 12 ships. His father would have been saddened if they had stopped at 12 ships. His dad’s passion before dying was about his ships.
Talks are on that there will second option after the Moon and they look forward for more ships after that.
