ATLANTA—Some days ago at Accelerate Together, the 2017 Crowne Plaza Owner and GM Conference, the brand introduced new programs and initiatives as part of the Crowne Plaza Accelerate program.

Two new programs for food & beverage and service were launched at the conference: Crowne Plaza’s new comprehensive dinner and bar program was developed to drive brand consistency and performance across the system of hotels. It includes a new core dinner and bar menu that is standard across the estate and customizable to add local chef favorites; and Dare to Connect, Crowne Plaza’s new global guest service program is specifically designed to foster deeper personal connections among business travelers, according to the company. It involves training and empowering hotel team members to make more of a personal connection with guests to enhance their overall experience and make a lasting impression.
Additionally, following the success of its pilot program, the Plaza Workspace flexible meeting solution will become a new brand standard at time of renovation starting in June 2018. Plaza Workspace has not only proven to be valuable for guests and locals alike, but also drives incremental revenue at the hotels with pilots showing ROI in two years or less, according to the company.
Backed by a $200-million investment from IHG, Crowne Plaza has reached the halfway point of its three-year Accelerate plan, which launched in June 2016. The plan is designed to ensure that the brand remains at the forefront of the new way of doing business with design-led, culturally relevant and technology-enabled solutions to enhance brand performance and the guest experience while building brand love, driving performance, and delivering strong and visible value, according to the company.
