Abu Dhabi Ports who is the operator and manager of Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal has signed an agreement with Abu Dhabi Airports to launch special airport check-in desks at the cruise terminal.
Under this agreement Abu Dhabi Airports and the selected airline operators would be introducing on-ground services, including check-in counters that passengers arriving at Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal can utilize to complete their airline check-in prior to their arrival to Abu Dhabi International Airport.
The brand new service would permit passengers to check-in their bags at the cruise terminal instead of carrying them to the airport.
This would make the departure easier and more pleasant for passengers and also provides them a perfect opportunity to spend their final time in the city free of any baggage.
Abu Dhabi Ports had its best ever cruise performance last season and with more growth expected, Abu Dhabi Airports had launched a 15 check-in counters at Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminals that are located in Zayed Port.
This port is thought to be the first in this region to offer airline check-in desks.
Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi who is the CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports mentioned that Abu Dhabi continued to embrace a rising number of tourists keen to look for unique experiences.
