The $26 million Bear Grylls theme park to be launched in U.K in 2018 will have no survival-food vendors and the guests will not to look for water, sleep in deer carcasses or row a bathtub-boat in the buff.

The Bear Grylls Adventure took inspiration from the global escapades of Grylls who is a former British special forces trooper widely recognized for the Man vs Wild series.

It was noted that his survival show ran on the Discovery Channel for seven seasons.

However, it is said that the 86,000-square-foot theme park will have a tamer versions of the Gryll’s real-life adventures like rock climbing, indoor skydiving and the highest free-roam high ropes course in Europe.

The Bear Grylls Adventure will be built at the NEC known to be a major event space in Birmingham. The details were announced by Merlin Entertainments Plc, the company behind Legoland, the London Eye and Madame Tussaud’s wax museums (but not SeaWorld).

Along with the rides the theme park will have Basecamp where the guests will be able to sharpen their adventurer skills through a selection of mental and physical challenges.

Grylls mentioned that the park will be testing the spirit of never giving up and going the extra mile.

Bear Grylls also provides a branded Survival Academy which offers daylong to week long wilderness courses in Germany, the U.K, Northern Island and the U.S.

In order to cap off some of the longer courses participants will be placed on a remote island and will be asked to navigate back to civilization.

The theme park is expected to have exit signs.
