From 9-11 November Victoria Falls Waterfront lodge will host Africa’s biggest whitewater competition. The Zambezi River below the Victoria Falls is a deep channelled, high volume river with class 3-5 rapids interspersed with tranquil pools.
Rafting enthusiasts have named the Zambezi River as one of the top ten paddling rivers on the planet. Whitewater rafting is an adrenaline pumping experience that requires no special skills (apart from an ability to swim) and can be enjoyed by anyone, regardless of age or previous experience.
Registration is now open for the wildest whitewater competition in Africa!
Teams of six enter and bid for their preferred guide at a live bid on the evening of the 9th, followed by a training day, an evening of festivities, the main completion day and an party at The Victoria Falls Waterfront lodge.
The proceeds from the bid will be split equally into Safari Par Excellence’s (owners of Victoria Falls Waterfront Lodge) three beneficiaries of choice – International Rivers, Ebenezer Children’s Village and Conservation Centre for Wild Africa.
You’ll be accompanied in your raft by a local expert guide and provided with full training and a thorough safety briefing. You will also be given all the gear you need, including wetsuit and lifejacket.
