The firefighters battled harder against the raging wildfires across the Northern California, despite the efforts it killed 17 people, thousands of people were kept away and new evacuations were ordered on Tuesday evening.

It was reported that most of the fires were ignited Sunday due to winds of more than 50 mph and dry climatic conditions .The firefighters will have to face more challenges with no rain in the forecast in the days ahead. There will be gusts of 35 to 40 mph on Wednesday.

The authorities and officials had asked more than 20,000 people to evacuate with documents and medicines in case they had to flee the fast-spreading flames on short notice.

Captain Mike Palacio with the California Highway Patrol said that it would be one of the worst disasters in California history, people has to maintain patience as they are trying to save people.


Till now the wildfires have burned 115,000 acres in California and the largest fires were burning in Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino counties leading to a charred rubble with clouds of smoke.

There was a major disaster declaration by the White House and  fire management assistance grants for the state was signed.

The press secretary Sarah Sanders said that the loss of life is devastating and the sight of loss of homes and burning of precious land is heartbreaking.


At least 17 people have died, a total of 11 people died in Sonoma county the officials mentioned, it was seen that more than 100 people were underwent treatment in Napa and Sonoma area hospitals.


Santa Rosa, located roughly 50 miles northwest of San Francisco received the biggest blaze and reduced cars and homes into burnt piles of ash and rubble.


Around 27,000 acres of land has been burned and 571 structures destroyed making it one of the top 15 most destructive fires being recorded in California’s history.
