Too much is never enough, right? That’s clearly the thinking where Carnival Cruise Line’s partnership with uber-popular chef Guy Fieri is concerned. The line today announced that the man behind Guy’s Burger Joint will introduce a second restaurant, a 138-seat brewhouse, aboard the upcoming Carnival Horizon. Love craft beer? Love BBQ? Then this will be the place for you, as Guy’s Pig and Anchor Smokehouse/Brewhouse will combine the best of both worlds, offering complimentary dining during lunch and for-fee dining from 5 pm on.

Carnival Cruise Line’s Brewing New Beers!
Obviously, you can’t have BBQ without beer, so Carnival’s beverage team — including Colin Presby, the only brewmaster in the North American cruise industry — is busy developing four new microbrews specifically designed to pair with the smokehouse’s menu.
The official announcement will be made by Fieri in Dallas at the Texas State Fair during an event called the “Carnival’s BBQ Challenge with Guy Fieri.” Kids from the local 4-H Club were tasked to come up with unique barbecue recipes inspired by the Pig & Anchor. The three finalists will each receive a free cruise, and Carnival is making a $20,000 donation to the 4-H Club of Texas in support of its mission of encouraging young people to reach their fullest potential.
Fieri started his partnership with Carnival Cruise Line in 2011, when he launched the popular Guy’s Burger Joint. The burger eatery is now featured on 19 of Carnival’s Fun Ships.
The restaurant will also offer Fieri’s signature dishes like Dragon Chili Cheese Fries featuring smoked beef brisket, cheddar cheese, onions and jalapenos; Trash Can Nachos topped with pulled pork, Bourbon Brown Sugar BBQ sauce and melted cheese; and The Smokehouse Melt, with pulled pork, sliced brisket, double smoked pork belly bacon, two slices of cheddar cheese, homemade pickles and donkey sauce.
Side dishes are just as tantalizing with Fieri-created favorites like the Longhorn Cheddar Mac & Cheese, Beer-Braised Cowboy Pinto Beans, Sweet Potato Bourbon Mash, Mashed Potatoes with Red Eye Gravy and Burnt Ends, and Buttermilk Broccoli Salad with Bacon and Almonds.
BBQ fans can spice up their dishes with the chef’s own sauces, including Kansas City (smoky and sweet), Sriracha BBQ (spicy and tangy), Carolina #6 (tangy and sweet heat) and award-winning Bourbon Brown Sugar (sweet and sticky), along with exclusive-to-Carnival sauces like Smokey Chipotle, Gold Coast Yellow Mustard, Black Pepper, and Burning Tomato.
