Maryborough’s Princes Park has been upgraded and is better than ever. The upgraded Princes Park will not only attract more tourists and events to the region, it will create an attractive, modern sporting and recreation facility for the entire local community to enjoy and share.
Princes Park features sporting ovals, tennis courts, walking tracks and multiple
community spaces set around Lake Victoria. The park attracts locals all year-round and hosts up to 12,000 visitors for the annual RACV Energy Breakthrough event.
Parliamentary Secretary for Regional Victoria, Danielle Green visited the completed project, which was delivered in partnership with Central Goldfields Shire Council.
The completed project included: Extension of the Energy Breakthrough track; Extension of the recycled water system that supplies the community spaces and improvements to the community spaces including landscaping, seating and shelters to ensure Princes Park remains a contemporary venue for both residents and visitors to enjoy.
