The long hidden Japanese ancient art of Noh Theatre will take centre-stage in Japan with an exclusive introductory performance for international visitors to Japan in a newly built theatre in Tokyo’s Ginza 6 building on April 29 2017.

This exclusive opening performance will be held at the Kanze Nogakudo (Kanze Noh Theatre), and will include English simultaneous translation.  Celebrated Grand Masters of the Kanze Noh School will star in the production, and there will be an interactive opportunity to learn more from Noh experts beforehand, to help enrich the experience.  The performance is followed by a private Gala Dinner, to be held at the Hotel Okura and hosted by Mr. Kanze, where the menu will be created and prepared by Michelin starred chef, Mr. Yosuke Suga (originally the ‘Iron Chef’, from L’Atelier Joel Robuchon).

The Noh theatre experience will be re-introduced by Naomi Mano who heads one of Japan’s most exclusive boutique hospitality companies, Luxurique. She comments:
“We have been working for many months to secure the recognition of the ancient and truly beautiful Japanese art-form of Noh.  Many centuries ago, Noh was originally performed for the Bushi and aristocratic families of Japan, in the same way that Kabuki was a modern art form for the general public in recent history.  Whilst the themes of Kabuki are of day-to-day activities, Noh is spiritual in its concept with various themes around life and the after-life.  It is an honour that we are now also able to open the doors of Noh to international visitors too.”

The performance on 29 April will be reserved for discerning inbound travellers and international business executives in Japan.  Spaces are limited - for further information, please seewww.luxurique.com or email naomi@luxurique.com.
