The national airline of North Korea has commenced a new flight service to Dandong in China that brings the total of its regularly scheduled international destinations to as much as five.
This is the very first Air Koryo flight that would start this new service to China.
It is actually a 73-seat Antonov AN148 that was carrying a group of about 50 Chinese tourists. It touched down on Tuesday at Pyongyang’s Sunan Airport.
The flight time between Dandong, that is based right on China’s border with North Korea and Pyongyang is less than an hour from this part of the world. These flights would be scheduled to function twice every week that is on Tuesdays and Fridays.
