Porter Airlines strongly supports the interim order introduced today by Marc Garneau, Minister of Transport, to regulate recreational drones. The increasing use of drones must be appropriately managed in a way that emphasizes safety for everyone.
“Safety governs everything that we do as an airline,” said Robert Deluce, president and CEO, Porter Airlines. “Whatever can be done to raise awareness of safe operating principles among drone operators is a worthwhile effort.”
Porter will offer any necessary support to Transport Canada as it finalizes these regulations during the next year.
