A brand new theme park that is being dubbed as the UK version of Disneyland worth £3.5 billion is all ready to open its doors to the masses by the year 2022.
This Paramount theme park would be the first of its kind.
It would be developed close to Dartford, Kent and would feature over 50 rides and attractions, and even a theatre that houses 2,000 seats. Paramount is the California studio that was instrumental for some of the most renowned blockbusters of Hollywood including Forrest Gump, Iron Gump, the Transformer series and Titanic.
It has been estimated that this 872-acre park might bring about 40,000 tourists per day, creating up to about 33,000 jobs in this area according to one of the media channels.
Apart from the attractions akin to those of the major Hollywood studio, this theme park would also boast of various attractions from BBC Worldwide shows, alongside the Aardman Animations.
This implies that the characters like the Daleks and Doctor Who might be able to make an appearance at this gigantic theme park.
There would be zones comprising Entertainment City, Port Paramount, Action Square, Action Square, Starfleet Command, Cartoon Circus, Land of Legends and Adventure Isle within the premises. Besides, an exhibition area measuring about 11,000 square metres has also been planned, with an overwhelming 11,000 restaurant covers that would nourish the hungry visitors.
The park would be the first of its kind in the United Kingdom.
If it is approved by the government, the construction work would commence as soon as 2019.
