FITUR, The International Tourism Trade Fair organised by IFEMA in Feria de Madrid from 18 to 22 January, is again organising the international “TRAVEL BLOGGER 2017” competition, which is in its fifth edition, with the aim of serving as a platform for bloggers from around the world to make their tourism and travel related blogs better known.
Those interested in participating can register by 12 December on the http://travelblogger.es/ website, sending in the link to their blog and a representative post. Each contestant will also need to decide in which category they wish to compete: blog with best content quality, blog with the greatest circulation and influence among its followers, or both.
The participants longlisted for the international FITUR TravelBloggers 2017 competition will be announced on 15 December after being chosen by FITUR’s social media team, which will assess aspects such as quality of content, design, image, dissemination, use of social media and the blog’s and its author’s renown. All finalists in the first phase will receive an accreditation certificate and an honorary distinction, which they can use to promote their space.
After this first selection, a judging panel of industry professionals will choose the Travel Blogger with the Best Content, who will be announced on 23 December. Subsequently, between 23 December and 3 January, Facebook and Twitter users will decide on the Award to Most Popular Blog with through their votes on the social networks.
As for the prizes, one per category will be awarded, consisting of an expenses-paid invitation (flight from the capital of their country of origin and accommodation) to FITUR 2017.
