The number of agents from the UK and Ireland participating in the 2017 USA MegaFam will increase from 100 to 107 to mark the fifth consecutive year of the trip.

Next year’s USA MegaFam will culminate on May 17, 2017, destination marketing body Brand USA revealed today.

The multi-destination fam trip will run from May 11-18 in partnership with American Airlines and British Airways.

Agents will travel on seven bespoke itineraries to different parts of the US, culminating in Chicago for the finale event on May 17.

Two of the groups will fly on BA’s new routes to New Orleans, Louisiana and Oakland, California.

Agents must book travellers on American and BA flights to the US during the entry period from January 1 to April 3, 2017 to be eligible to win a place on the MegaFam.

They must earn a specified number of USA specialist badges on Brand USA’s official agent training site.

Details regarding the number of required bookings and earned specialist badges to secure a place on the 2017 MegaFam will be released by the end of the year.

Brand USA chief marketing officer Thomas Garzilli said: “Each year the Brand USA MegaFam sees more and more agents across the UK and Ireland vying to secure a spot, demonstrating both incredible sales skills and consumer demand for the United States.
