UTair is launching new flights from Pulkovo Airport. The carrier will commence services from Saint Petersburg, Russia to Munich, Samara and Mineralnye Vody in the coming IATA Winter Season.
UTair flights from Pulkovo Airport to Germany’s Bavarian capital will start on October 30, 2016. They will depart on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Departure from Saint Petersburg is at 3.30 pm, from Munich at 5.10 pm local time. Munich will be the first scheduled foreign flight from Pulkovo Airport in the airline’s winter schedule.
In addition, the carrier will launch a scheduled service from Saint Petersburg to Samara from October 31. Flights will depart from Mondays to Thursdays from Saint Petersburg at 3.30 pm and from Samara at 7.55 pm local time. Furthermore, UTair will start a Saint Petersburg–Mineralnye Vody service from November 1. Flights will depart daily from Pulkovo at 11.35 pm, and from Mineralnye Vody at 4.00 am local time. Business and economy configured Boeing 737-500 aircraft are used for the above flights.
“UTair is one of the five leading airlines in Pulkovo in terms of passenger traffic. The carrier serviced 335,500 people during the first three quarters of 2016, i.e. 28% more than for the same period in the previous year. We are continuously developing air services from Saint Petersburg and are delighted that our long-standing partner UTair is expanding its flight range from Pulkovo in the coming season by offering direct flights to a total of 7 cities,” remarks Evgeny Ilyin, Commercial Director of Northern Capital Gateway, Pulkovo Airport’s management company.
“We continue expanding our cooperation with Pulkovo as one of the key UTair airports within the scope of our route network development policy. The introduction of new flights will allow an 81% increase of the company’s flight program from Saint Petersburg in the coming winter season compared with the same period last year: from 42 to 76 flights a week. In addition, we plan to significantly expand the operational service in summer season 2017, too. Taking into account the current high business activity period, we hope that the new UTair flights will be popular among both tourists and business travelers,” comments Managing Director of UTair Passenger Airlines Alexey Budnik.
The above mentioned destinations are also served from Pulkovo Airport by other carriers.
