The Metropolitan Hotel Dubai on Shaikh Zayed Road, is set to reopen its doors to guests this quarter, Al Habtoor Group said in a statement on Sunday.
The original Metropolitan Hotel which was built in 1979, was demolished in May 2013 to make way for Al Habtoor City, a development incorporating three five-star hotels and three luxury residential towers.
The original Metropolitan Hotel was the Al Habtoor Group’s first foray into the hospitality industry and was one of just a handful of hotels in the city at that time.
The new Metropolitan Hotel Dubai will have 320 contemporary rooms including 18 suites, and a gym, rooftop swimming pool and spa. It will be opened in a new location on Shaikh Zayed Road, near Exit 41 (Al Thanya Street).
Guests will also have access to the pool and beach facilities at Habtoor Grand Resort, Autograph Collection.
