Scotland aims to boost European events business with 500 meetings held in one day in the Kingdom of Fife.From 6-7 October, St Andrews will host a major showcase for Scotland’s appeal as a destination for business visits and events.
Meet in Scotland, the premier MICE event from VisitScotland Business Events, will take place at the Fairmont St Andrews and the Kingsbarns Distillery, in partnership with Welcome to Fife and Fife Council.
Matching 24 of Scotland’s large and small suppliers of event services with the same number of event planners from the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria, Meet in Scotland will feature nearly 500 “speed appointments” in one day.
The pride of Scotland’s event venues and suppliers will have the opportunity to highlight their unique hospitality services to some of the top European agencies who are responsible for buying and organising meetings, conferences and incentive travel throughout the world.
Those venues and suppliers include: the Balmoral Hotel; Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh; Macdonald Hotels; Meetings Perthshire; the Kingsmills Hotel, Inverness; Cameron House, Loch Lomond; AECC; the Dryburgh Abbey Hotel, Melrose.
