Airports Council International (ACI) announces the last call for the International Civil Aviation Organization's (ICAO) 2017 Young Aviation Professionals Programme (YAPP). The programme, managed by ICAO, is a joint initiative with ACI, ICAO and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

This is a unique professional development opportunity. Selected candidates will be able to contribute to projects of joint interest to all three organizations under the direct mentorship of an ICAO expert member and working in close collaboration with IATA and ACI experts: the focus will be on the inter-relationships between ICAO and the airline and airport industries.

Aviation professionals across the globe looking to jump-start their careers are invited to apply. Applicants must have advanced university qualifications and have a minimum of two years of employment within the aviation industry or in aviation-related regulatory activities.

"Our continuing support of the Young Aviation Professionals' Programme is testament to ACI's commitment to ensuring a strong pool of future aviation professionals for the sustainability of our industry," said Angela Gittens, Director General, ACI World. "The programme aligns well with the goals of our extensive Global Training curriculum that emphasizes industry collaboration such as the ACI-ICAO Airport Management Professional Accreditation Programme, and equal opportunity such as our Developing Nations Airport Assistance Programme."

Candidates who meet the minimum requirements are invited to submit their application through ICAO's online employment website by 18 October 2016. The expected start date of the programme, and the reporting of the selected candidates to ICAO Headquarters in Montréal, will be the middle of February 2017.
