New direct connection to Lake Constance: People’s Viennaline is including the route from Cologne/Bonn to Friedrichshafen – St. Gallen/Altenrhein in its offering in the winter schedule. The Austrian airline will serve the new route 10 times a week.
“We are delighted that North Rhine-Westphalia will again have a direct connection from Cologne/Bonn to the Lake Constance region, which is so significant in terms of business and tourism. For business travelers, but also for winter sports fans, the new route is a real boon”, said airport chief Michael Garvens.
From Monday to Friday, People’s Viennaline will depart from Cologne/Bonn at 8:35 and 19:25 to Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance. The Embraer jet with up to 50 seats needs merely 55 minutes for the leg. After a brief stop, it continues on demand to St. Gallen-Altenrhein Airport on the Swiss side. This eight-minute “overseas flight” counts thereby as the world’s shortest scheduled flight.
The outward and return flights from Cologne/Bonn to Friedrichshafen are available from as little as EUR 189. The onward flight to Altenrhein can be booked for EUR 40 per segment.
