MONTEREY, CA—Monterey Marriott recently completed a $2.4-million renovation to its lobby, Great Room and restaurant.
Designer Aaron King of Koncept Design Group helped lead the transformation. There’s a new revolving door in the lobby, where benches are clad with driftwood and the ceramic flooring is dark wood. Guests can now check-in at registration pods under-lit white quartz waterfall edges that complement dark, oak-stained wood.
Technology also plays a key role in the new Great Room and lobby, with high-speed wireless internet available.
Chef Samuel Santos heads the hotel's new eatery, Fin + Field, where a bar with new under-lighting is available for guests looking to order cocktails and dine. The restaurant's menu will focus on local produce, sustainably-sourced seafood and humanely raised cattle, according to the company.
