Macau is planning to appoint an official representative to attract bigger number of Indonesian tourists in their country and the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) selected VFS Global to improve tourism between Macau and Indonesia.
MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes said that Macau is an absolutely safe and culturally rich place for Indonesian travelers, since they make up for a sizable number of tourists to this place. Tourism in Macau is vibrant and is fully focused towards providing to Indonesian tourist requirements. Restaurants and housing in Macau are being put up to accommodate Muslims and halal food. Hotel lobbies are being restructured so that tourists can find all entertainment that they need.
The MGTO Director stressed the importance of mingling social media campaigns with traditional ones for attracting the Indonesian market and travel agencies to lure more Indonesian tourists. She further stated that plans are in the pipeline to construct a modern performing art center in Macau akin to Sydney Opera House and it will be a supreme hub of entertainment activities.
