MILWAUKEE—The 155-suite SpringHill Suites by Marriott has opened here. Located at 744 N. 4th St., the hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by an affiliate of Jackson Street Holdings, LLC and managed by White Lodging Services of Merrillville, IN.
Housed in the Commerce Building and two blocks from the BMO Harris Bradley Center, the property will be close to the Wisconsin Center and will be connected by the Milwaukee skywalk system. The hotel features a brand new design in the lobby, including earth tones, accent fabrics and walnut-stained wood.
“The hotel’s design provides a seamless blend of style and function at an affordable price, and our all-suite offering allows guests enough room to relax and reenergize,” said Loren Nalewanski, VP and global brand manager, SpringHill Suites.
Featuring suites that are larger than typical hotel rooms, everything from furniture and lighting to colors and fabrics were selected to offer calm and refreshing spaces, according to the company. Separate living, working and sleeping spaces are designed to offer flexibility and functionality. Bathrooms feature modern touches, such as a marble-top vanity, iridescent tile walls and new lighting features.
Complimentary WiFi in the hotel’s lobby and high-speed internet access in every suite are among the amenities. The hotel also offers business services, such as same-day dry cleaning, guest laundry facilities and a fitness center. In the lobby, the Market offers 24/7 access to food and beverages.
“This hotel provides today’s most important amenities to guests, with both hot breakfast and WiFi complimentary and included in the daily room rate,” said Chris Anderson, SVP and chief revenue officer at White Lodging. “No other hotel connected to the Wisconsin Center is able to provide that to their guests.”
The property also has 1,800 square feet of meeting space to accommodate meetings and functions of up to 80 people and will offer a full-service restaurant in 2017.
