Princess Cruises has announced their fall 2017 through spring 2018 itineraries in the Americas, including Caribbean, Panama Canal, Mexico, Hawaii, and California sailings. The variety of cruises range from 3 to 28 days, and are now on sale.
In total, the cruise line will be operating 11 ships with 230 departures on over 30 unique itineraries, visiting 70 destinations. Highlights include the maiden season of Caribbean Princess on 10-day cruises sailing through the Panama Canal locks. Roundtrip California Coast voyages from LA will now include a stop in Monterey. Ruby and Emerald Princess will sail four and five-day voyages out of LA, with an overnight stay on the five day itinerary.
Here’s all of the details of Princess’ Americas cruising season:
Caribbean
Five ships will sail 5-day getaways, 7 and 8-day cruises, and longer voyages that are 10-21 days long in 2017 and 2018. Caribbean Princess will debut a new 14-day Circle Caribbean itinerary, roundtrip from Ft. Lauderdale and visit Martinique, Barbados, Trinidad, Aruba, Curaçao, Antigua, St. Maarten, St. Kitts, and Princess Cays. The ship will also offer a special holiday cruise including both Christmas and New Year’s.Regal Princess will visit the eastern and western Caribbean on 7-day itineraries, and Crown Princess will alternate 8-day eastern and southern Caribbean, and 5-day eastern and western Caribbean cruises throughout the season.
Royal Princess will be operating 10-day Southern Medley cruises and 10-day Eastern Voyager itineraries which can be combined for a 20-day vacation. They offer Caribbean favorites such as St. Kitts, Barbados, and St. Lucia, as well as lesser-known ports such as Dominica, Grenada, and Bonaire.
A 14-day Caribbean Connoisseur voyage will be operated by Pacific Princess, visiting off-the-beaten-path islands including St. Croix, Nevis, Guadeloupe, Tobago, and Virgin Gorda.
Panama Canal
This season will be the first one for transiting the new Panama Canal locks, with Caribbean Princess offering partial transit 10-day voyages roundtrip from Ft. Lauderdale.Coral, Island, and Pacific Princess will all sail ocean to ocean with full transit offerings through all three sets of Canal locks – Gatun, Pedro Miguel, and Miraflores Locks, with Coral Princess offering an extra day in Fuerte Amador for guests to experience Panama City. Pacific Princess will also offer a 17-day Connoisseur Voyage, sailing for 17 days with a call in Santa Marta, Colombia.
Lastly, Island Princess will sail a roundtrip LA departure for transit through the Pedro Miguel and Miraflores locks, offering guests a nostalgic cruising experience to the Panama Canal.
Mexico, Hawaii, California, and Alaska
On the West Coast, five ships will be sailing from three homeports – Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Vancouver. Itineraries include the cruise line’s first voyage to Alaska roundtrip from LA.Star Princess calls LA her home, and will sail 10-day cruises to Hawaii calling in Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island. Grand Princess homeports in San Francisco sailing seven voyages visiting the same ports. Roundtrip sailings from Vancouver to Hawaii are also available aboard Star Princess in the fall and spring. Emerald Princess will feature two 28-day cruises to Hawaii, Tahiti, and Samoa in the fall and spring.
Cruises to Mexico will be available as 7-day itineraries from LA, visiting Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas, or as 10-day cruises from San Francisco with the added port of Manzanillo. Additionally, 10-day Baja Peninsula & Sea of Cortez voyages are back, sailing from LA to San Diego, Cabo San Lucas, La Paz, Loreto, Puerto Vallarta, and the California Coast.
Offering the ultimate California food and wine experience, Princess’ 7-day sailings from LA and 10-days from Vancouver include the new port of Monterey, offering opportunities to visit the world-famous Pebble Beach Golf Course, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and coastal views of the region’s 17-Mile-Drive. Ruby and Emerald Princess also set sail on select 4-day West Coast Getaway voyages from LA including Santa Barbara or Catalina Island, and Ensenada, Mexico, while 5-day Cabo San Lucas Getaways include an overnight in the popular destination.
For the first time for Princess Cruises, Emerald Princess will depart on a 12-day roundtrip voyage from LA with calls in Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan, and Vancouver, featuring scenic cruising of Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska.
