WestJet celebrates travel agents

Today, WestJet celebrated Travel Agent Day, the centre of their third annual TA Appreciation month celebration. This is a month-long campaign created by WestJet to recognize and thank its valued travel agent partners for their continued support.

“We again thank our travel agent partners for their incredible help and support of WestJet over the past 20 years. You have been pivotal in the success of our airline,” said Bob Cummings, WestJet Executive Vice President, Commercial. “We pride ourselves on our great working relationships with our TAs and we continue to invest in the travel trade industry to ensure we are always easy to do business with. As we move forward in 2016, we continue to focus on initiatives to allow our travel agency partners to bring value to clients, guests and our shareholders alike.”

WestJet’s TA Appreciation month celebrations will include the return of their greatly anticipated Hooray for TAs contest, taking place from May 2 to 31, 2016. Eligible agents can submit their WestJet flight and WestJet Vacations bookings or correctly answer WestJet-themed trivia questions for a chance to win one of 30 prizes. Prizes include 10 WestJet Vacations packages and 20 round-trip airfares for two. Plus fare bookings or bookings that include advance seat selection will provide travel agents with an even greater chance to win.

WestJet’s TA Appreciation month will also be complimented by a series of initiatives that will be rolled out throughout the month. These initiatives demonstrate the airline’s commitment to travel agents and to becoming easier to do business with.
