Turkish cuisine and lifestyle presented to Brits

Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism promoted Turkey at the Liverpool Food, Drink and Lifestyle Spring Festival, which took place on 23-24 April 2016 at Sefton Park. Turkey was the official destination partner of the festival.
The Attaché of the Turkish Culture and Tourism office, Ali Selcuk Can said; “We introduced the deep-rooted, rich and unrivalled Turkish cuisine with the British public.”
A number of activities took place at the Turkey stand at Sefton Park which provided visitors to get a feel of the Turkish lifestyle. Complimentary tasting of the most popular Turkish foods and desserts were prepared and presented by famous Turkish chefs, where guests tasted everyday dishes from the Turkish culture. Guests of the festival watched a demonstration of the Turkish Art of Marbling, called Ebru Art, which is the art of creating colourful patterns by sprinkling and brushing colour pigments on a pan of oily water and then transforming this pattern to paper. The Ebru art has been a part of the Turkish culture for centuries and still is widely used today not just in Turkey but also other parts of the world. Turkey Home is also offered a lucky visitor an all-inclusive family holiday to Turkey.
Along with the abundance of activities, food, drink and shopping on offer, visitors enjoyed live music performances, themed demonstrations, and an onsite secret pop-up restaurant in the woods during the festival
