Istanbul Tourist Arrivals continue to drop in April 2016

Following the distressing events that have occurred in Istanbul and in Turkey, drop in number of tourist arrivals to Istanbul continues.

Istanbul Culture and Tourism Directorate announced the total number of tourist arrivals to Istanbul in the first four months of 2016. 715 thousand traveled to Istanbul in April 2016, 31.1% drop compare to April 2015. A total of 2.8 million visited Istanbul in January-April 2016; a drop of 15.9% compare to same period last year.
