Iberia resumes its flights between Madrid and San Juan, Puerto Rico, offering three weekly flights using A330-200s, Iberia’s latest long-haul aircraft, with 19 seats in Business and 269 in Economy. The total offer of seats on the route will total 41,200 by the end of the summer season in October.
Passengers on the route can enjoy the newly-designed Business and Economy seating sections. Business Class features new seat that unfold into perfectly flat 2m-long beds, each with direct access to the aisle. The lavish entertainment offer is delivered on large, 15.4-inch touch screens.
Economy passengers will notice the extra legroom and wider, more ergonomic seats. On the individual 9-inch touch screens they can view the same entertainment as in Business Class, including 50 late-release films in multiple languages, 80 television series and documentaries, plus 400 musical options, interactive video games, and special programming for children.
Optional broadband Wi-Fi is available to all passengers, for fast in-flight Internet connections.
San Juan, Iberia’s 20th destination in Latin America, is famed for its colonial-style buildings, and Puerto Rico has charms to please all kinds of travellers, including pristine tropical beaches, surfing and diving, and luxuriant natural parks to explore, as well as a diversity of shopping opportunities.
Iberia is the leading airline between Europe and Latin America, with 250 flights each week. In the past two years the airline has added six destinations –Montevideo, Santo Domingo, Havana, Cali, Medellin and now San Juan– in this market. In 2016 Iberia is celebrating the 70th anniversary of its first flights to Latin America.
