European Waterways, Europe’s largest luxury hotel barging cruise line, is offering great savings on cabins and full boat charters on select hotel barges throughout Europe. Among the eligible vessels are Anjodi, which cruises the scenic Canal du Midi in southern France, and Panache, which cruises in Alsace & Lorraine. Both of these vessels are offering $2,500 off per cabin on select departures throughout the summer. Full-boat charter specials are also available, with Anjodi offering $8,000 off and Panache offering $12,000 off. Cabin specials are based on double occupancy and all specials must be booked by June 20, 2016 to qualify.
“Hotel barging through the scenic canals of France is truly ‘a moveable feast,’ with a master chef serving up gourmet meals daily that are a gastronomic delight,” said Derek Banks, managing director of European Waterways. “The slow pace of travel lets our guests enjoy every minute of the cruise, and with the lower rates, it’s an exceptional value at a time when most cruises still reflect high season rates.”
Sporting a classic Dutch design, the 8-passenger Anjodi hotel barge has had a facelift for 2016, with cabins and saloon skillfully refurbished to create a lighter, more spacious ambience that complements its African hardwood paneling and shining brass fittings. Anjodi also features a spacious sundeck and hot tub from which to watch the world go by in luxury and comfort. Excursion highlights include a private wine tasting at the 14th century Chateau de Perdiguier, a former noble’s country house renowned for its Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay wines. Guests will also tour Carcassone, a medieval walled city boasting 53 watchtowers and double-walled fortifications, and the culturally rich town of Pezenas, where French playwright and actor Moliere once spent his summers.
European Waterways is offering $2,500 off per cabin on the Anjodi for select departures in May, June and July. Ideal for families and small groups, Anjodi is also offering $8,000 off full-boat charter prices for select departures in June, July, and August.
The 12-passenger Panache cruises in Alsace & Lorraine, a unique region of France that has been occupied by both France and Germany at different times in history. Today, while officially part of France, many of its towns, villages and occupants still have German names. Panache recently remodeled its bar area, redecorated its cabins and refreshed its dining and saloon areas with new furnishings. Its spacious public spaces and amenities include comfortable double or twin en suite cabins with oversized showers, a large sundeck with a hot tub, and 12 bicycles to ensure every guest can enjoy the level, charming towpaths and explore the nearby towns whenever they’re in the mood. Excursion highlights include exploring the Route des Vins d’Alsace (Alsace Wine Route). The route is often called “one of France’s most evocative drives” and features roadside wine cellars, half-timbered villages, and castles on hilltops. Visits to Strasbourg’s magnificent Gothic cathedral and the Reneé Lalique museum are also on the itinerary.
Panache is offering up to $2,500 off per cabin for select departures in June and July, and $12,000 off the full 12-passenger charter price for select departures in July and August. “European Waterways sets the standard of luxury for hotel barge cruising, and with these special offers, our guests will also enjoy great value for the summer months,” said Banks.
