The Estonian Convention Bureau in conjunction with the Estonian Tourist Board last week organized first ever workshops in Vienna and Paris. Buyers in those markets were treated to a high-powered introduction to Estonia.
In Vienna on May 11th, as many as 26 key players in the meetings and incentives industry were given the opportunity to hear what Estonia has to offer as a good-value-for-money destination. The workshop kicked off with a country presentation, followed by a reception and face-to-face meetings with the 13 Estonian suppliers that took part. The programme was repeated the following day in Paris, this time with 47 buyers attending.
“Since these cities are now served by direct flights to Tallinn, it made a lot of sense to reach out to the buyers there, give them a little taste of Estonia and put them in direct contact with our hotels, conference organisers and airline. I'm happy to say that the response was overwhelmingly positive,” said Riine Tiigi, the Estonian Convention Bureau's Marketing Manager.
