Each year, Gulf Food exhibition features a competition known as Emirates Culinary Guild Salon Culinaire with participation from most of the hotels in Dubai; this year 1300 chefs have competed in more than 20 different categories ranging from practical cooking competitions to buffet and banqueting show pieces. Some of the competitions are designed for entry by a single competitor; others are designed as team events.
Participating hotels are 4-star and 5-star including international chains and prestigious names in the hospitality industry.City Seasons Suites Dubai have won 2nd place in the Arabian Feast category and a merit certificate for Practical Cookery by Chef Majed Nassib Bou Subuh.
“We are proud of such achievement, said George Demitry, Group General Manager for City Seasons Hotels.“Although our properties have a small number of F&B venues, we do strive to offer a good combination of hearty food, comfortable setting and great service for a family-friendly place.A merit certificate was also awarded to Chef Imtiaz Haji Muhammad in the Dinner Menu category.
“We were pleased to know our City Seasons Suites Dubai came 2nd and awarded three Merit Certificates, said Khaled Mirza the General Manager of the Suites.This has taken our team a lot of efforts in the planning, execution and the creativity displayed in the final presentation certainly is outstanding and we are very fortunate to have these associates as part of our team…..this is a very proud moment and a great achievement, he added.
