This year a new international cargo terminal with an area of 25,900 sq.m. and a throughput capacity of 289,800 tonnes/year is planned to be brought online as well. The cost of the project is RUB 3 bln.

Construction of the new T2 segment of the passenger terminal with a total area of 232.4 thous.sq.m. is progressing actively. The total own investment spend on the construction of the T2 phase by the start of the FIFA World Cup-2018 will exceed RUB 27 bln and the total throughput capacity of the airport’s passenger terminal (T1+T2) will surpass 45 mln passengers per year.
As early as in 2016 one of multi-level car parks with a capacity of 3,500 car spaces and an area of 126,000 sq.m. will be built in direct vicinity of the T2 part of the terminal. In order to construct the car park, the airport raised a EUR 38 mln credit facility from Raiffeisen Bank International AG.
Not only is Moscow Domodedovo Airport a key transport infrastructure nexus of the Moscow Aviation Hub, it is also a participant of the Programme for Preparation to 2018 World Cup due to be held in the Russian Federation, as well as of the Federal Target Programme for Development of the Transport System of Russia (2010 – 2020).
