At least one man died when a car carrying an explosive device exploded Tuesday morning in Berlin. The blast occurred around 8 a.m. (3 a.m. ET) in Charlottenburg, a district in western Berlin, Germany.
Authorities have not identified the man who died.
Debris littered the street around the four-door car, according to a picture tweeted by Berlin police Tuesday morning.
Police have told residents in the area to close their windows and stay in the back of their apartments.
