Construction is underway at The Spa & Fitness Center at Four Seasons Hotel Houston as the storied downtown hotel undergoes a multi-million-dollar makeover – including a complete revamp of the high-end property’s 4th floor Spa and fitness facilities. The renovated Spa will include three newly built treatment rooms, a relaxation room, a couples’ suite, a nail bar and top-of-the-line treatments. The redesigned Fitness Center will offer state-of-the-art equipment, locker rooms, steam rooms and a designated room for fitness classes. The property’s next-generation Spa & Fitness Center marks the first in a series of major projects coming to Four Seasons Hotel Houston.
Guests can expect a highly stylized experience when they visit the newly imagined Four Seasons Spa & Fitness Center after the project is completed in March 2016. In-demand architecture firm Rottet Studio – which earned a rare two Gold Key Awards for Excellence in Hospitality Design at the International Interior Design Association Awards for their work on the renovated Surrey Hotel in New York City – is overseeing the dramatic redesign that will soon transform the 4th floor into the only bona fide luxury wellness experience custom-made for downtown Houston.
The Fitness Center will feature the most powerful equipment on the market, including Matrix, Woodway and Life Fitness machines along with Pavigym Flooring. Guests will soon be powering through a series of unique wellness classes such as Sunset Salutations – the perfect remedy for unwinding and self-reflecting; Sunrise Salutations – the release of energy through movement, breathing and sun salutations; Journey into Powerful Flow – resulting in the harmonious balance of mind, body and soul; and Vinyl Vinyasa – a technique designed to ignite the body’s flow and stimulate the senses through music and movement.
The contemporary, crisp space will boast white marble, dark travertine tile, natural eucalyptus and oak burl wood, resulting in a richly appointed, layered environment. The locker rooms will take spa design to a whole new level with marble clad bathing and grooming areas accented by floating vanities that feature art-glass panels with metal fabric, custom mirrors and elegant wallpaper, creating a soft, smoky accent wall. Plumbing fixtures from the acclaimed company Waterworks will provide a polished look, with shower hardware and sink faucets for a tactile guest experience.
This same design aesthetic will flow into the Spa’s treatment rooms where guests can choose from a decidedly Texas-centric Spa menu. Deluxe offerings include an exclusive Deborah Lippmann Signature Houston-Inspired Color Collection for mani/pedis and Salt of the Earth Custom Blend Body Treatments with body creams created exclusively for Four Seasons Hotel Houston . During the Spa’s Happy Hour, guests can enjoy specialty treatments or take USD 30 off any 50- or 80-minute facial, massage or body treatment. Other Spa services include Jet Lag Cure for weary travellers; Business “Power” Spa Treatments for guests-on-the-go; and expanded dining options at The Deck pool café.
