A set of tools will provide tourism industry entrepreneurs guidance on how to establish, run and improve their businesses.
The International Labour Organization (ILO) has developed the tools set and with partnership with The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) the toolboxes easily available at sustain.pata.org.
Under the form of an intellectual property licence, those accessing and making use of the tools are free and entitled to adapt them to specific institutional or local requirements and to incorporate their logo and name whilst ensuring clear and specific attribution to the ILO as the source.
The tourism toolboxes, developed in cooperation with ASEAN under the Small Business Competitiveness (SBC) project, are based on the ILO Community-Based Enterprise Development (C-BED) approach - a low-cost, trainer-less approach that is easy to adopt by organisations with limited capacity.
