TORONTO—Choice Hotels Canada opened five new hotels during the fourth quarter of 2015. The company opened 21 hotels last year, bringing the total number of properties in its portfolio to 319.
“We had a record-breaking year for hotel openings for Choice Hotels Canada,” said Brian Leon, managing director, Choice Hotels Canada. “2015 was a year of major changes and great outcomes for the company. We have no doubt these new additions will serve as fantastic representatives of our brands and bring a higher level of hospitality to these communities across Canada.”
Fourth-quarter Choice Hotels Canada openings include Le Grande-Allée Hotel & Suites, an Ascend Hotel Collection, Québec City, QC (38-room conversion); Comfort Suites, Regina, SK (121-room new-build); Quality Inn & Suites Amsterdam, Fredericton, NB (50-room conversion); Quality Inn & Suites, Yorkton, SK (96-room conversion); and Clarion Lakeside Inn & Conference Centre, Kenora, ON (94-room conversion).
The company expects to open five hotels in the first quarter of this year.
