Turkish Airlines, national carrier of Turkey, announced a new route from Istanbul to Stockholm, the largest city in the largest country in Scandinavia. The flag carrier will launch 7 weekly flights from Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen Airport, which is the city’s second airport on the Asian side of the city to Stockholm Arlanda Airport in Sweden. With the addition of the Turkish Airlines Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen to Stockholm Arlanda route, Turkish Airlines is strengthening its overall presence in Scandinavia.
Istanbul (SAW) – Stockholm (ARN) – Istanbul (SAW) flights are planned as 7 flights per week and will be launched as of April 25, 2016.

Turkish Airlines’ announcement for additional flights to Stockholm is another proof of increasing popularity of the city. During the month of October over 1.1 million guest nights were recorded in the Stockholm, which is an increase of 7 percent compared to October last years.
The largest increase in percentage came from outside Europe will increase by a total of 30 percent, followed by Europe with 20 percent. Most international overnight stays came from Stockholm's main international markets, the UK (28%), Germany (+ 17%), Norway (+ 12%) and USA (+ 24%).
