ROCKVILLE, MD—Choice Hotels International, Inc. has signed an agreement with Integrated 32 West Randolph, an affiliate of Murphy Asset Management, to develop a new Cambria Hotel & Suites in the Loop area of downtown Chicago.
The 198-room, 21-story Cambria property will be located above the Ford Center for the Performing Arts Oriental Theatre and is expected to open in September 2017.
The property will sit in Chicago's central business district and will be directly across from a number of high-end restaurants and retail outlets known collectively as Block Thirty Seven. Nearby attractions include Millennium Park, the John Hancock Center, Skydeck Chicago and the Chicago Riverwalk.
All Cambria Hotels & Suites properties are designed with a larger lobby; oversized rooms with flexible spaces and the latest technology, according to the company. In addition, the Chicago property will feature a contemporary bistro, Social Circle, serving a menu comprised of local specialties created by Chef Michael DeMaria; liquor, wine, beer and grab-and-go gourmet salads and sandwiches and a barista bar. This property will provide 2,500 sq. ft. of meeting space for group meetings and conferences, as well as valet parking for guests.
