Corinthia Hotel Budapest GM named hotelier of the year 2015

Thomas M. Fischer, General Manager, Corinthia Hotel Budapest, named

Hotelier of the Year 2015 by Budapest Week Publishing. Every year the jury of professionals recognizes 10 outstanding individuals, who have excelled in their field and created something unique, exceptional and valuable for the capital and Hungary as well.

Fischer, with extensive experience in luxury hospitality, has been General Manager at the Award winning Corinthia Hotel Budapest, since March 1, 2012. “I am especially pleased to be recognized by such a distinguished group of jurors, but this is an honor I share with the entire Corinthia Budapest team. Together we have introduced innovative new programs, state of the art redesigns of our luxury suites as well as cutting edge technology for the Meetings & Conference market.”

Under Mr Fischer’s leadership, Corinthia Budapest launched “Food for Thought”, a more effective way of participating in a conference with a carefully designed, special menu.. The beautifully redesigned Executive One-Bedroom Suites stands out as among the most luxurious suites in Budapest.   Coming this summer, Corinthia will unveil the ‘Royal Lounge’ with many special amenities and services for the meeting and conference delegates, the first of its kind in Budapest.

Corinthia is also very involved in local Hungarian charities like the Hungarian Red Cross and the Magic Lamp Wish Fulfilling Foundation. Fischer has also launched a management trainee program, encouraging talented students to have an opportunity to begin their career at one of the grandest hotels in Budapest.
