TAV operates lounges at Riga Airport

Riga Airport
TAV Operation Services based in Istanbul, Turkey have been awarded the tender for the operating rights of lounges at Riga Airport, the main gate of Latvia. The company has reached 30 lounges at 17 airports in eight countries.
TAV Operation Services, a subsidiary of TAV Airports, added the lounges at Riga Airport, one of the prominent connection hubs of North Europe, to its portfolio. TAV is going to operate two lounges, which cover a total area of 540 sqm, at the airport until 2020. Starting its operations as of April, TAV Operation Services has renovated the lounges and started to transfer its know-how and service quality to Riga.
TAV Operation Services General Manager Bora İşbulan stated “Growing fast in the international markets with the know-how we have acquired in Turkey, TAV Operation Services continues to expand its portfolio in lounge operations. We have achieved a significant growth outside of TAV with the tenders we have been successively awarded in Germany, Oman and Tunisia since last year. Riga marks the latest round of this success story.
Having become a prominent connection hub in North Europe as the main hub of Air Baltic, Riga Airport's passenger lounges have been quickly renovated and we have started offering the privileges of TAV to the passengers. Today, we have become the operator of 30 lounges at 17 airports in eight countries. We will continue to search for new opportunities globally especially in the Middle East and North Africa, which are our target regions, during the next period."
Riga Airport served approximately 4.8 million passengers in 2014. TAV Operation Services annually provides services to approximately 2.1 million passengers by operating 30 lounges at 17 airports, in eight countries with its "primeclass" brand.
