FORT LAUDERDALE, FL—Adache Group Architects, based here, is currently in the design phase for the Marriott Residence Inn on the island of Aruba. This is the first Residence Inn in the Caribbean and is a milestone for Marriott, according to the company.
The architectural Dutch-themed Aruban-style hotel will have 217 guestrooms with a zero entry feature pool. The resort will also have a lobby overlooking a tropical courtyard.
The project is located on the Northwest coast in Aruba’s town of Bubali and is within walking distance to Eagle Beach. The Residence Inn is situated on an eight-acre site consisting of condominiums and grand retail center. The retail plaza will have boutique retail shops, restaurants and cafes on the first floor, the second and third floors will be office space, and the fourth floor will be a conference/banquet space.
The Adache team is responsible for the master planning, landscape, architecture and interior design. The property is scheduled to open in 2017.
