The Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) announced that during 2014, both cruise arrivals and expenditure increased by twenty nine percent (29%) compared to 2013. This Caribbean Island is the must-see stop for many cruise passengers.
Preliminary data has revealed that 162 cruise calls and 254,248 cruise passengers visited ports in Grenada and Carriacou contributing 28M Eastern Caribbean dollars to the economy.
September to December 2014 had 66 cruise calls compared to the same period in 2013 with forty-four calls. The current cruise season spanning 24th September 2014 to 24th April 2015 estimates a 25.5% increase from the previous 2013/2014 cruise season.
