One of the country’s biggest ever campaigns, ‘See you in Dubai’ will target tourists from Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.
The move coincides with the build-up to Dubai’s hosting of the World Expo in 2020. It’s also in step with a new campaign set to be launched by Abu Dhabi in 2015, as well as general expansion throughout the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the chairman and chief executive of Emirates Airline and Group, said: “Dubai is a global hub and a global destination in itself. From Emirates’ perspective, it is our unique differentiator.”
Gaurav Sinha, found of the hospitality branding firm Insignia Worldwide, said: “The UAE is definitely capturing the imagination of the world.”
As the new Dubai campaign gets underway, the emirate’s landscape is set to change still further, as the island project known as The World – originally planed for completion some years ago – is once again under construction.
