Etihad Airways is organizing the largest aviation tournament of the year “Etihad Airways World Football Tournament 2014 “on 05 and 06 December 2014 at Zayed Sports City.
The event aims to unite teams from all over the world in a competitive but friendly atmosphere and celebrate together the national day.
This year, the football tournament will see two Etihad Airways teams play alongside 24 international airline teams from 17 countries, including the US, Australia, Brazil, Austria, Italy, Germany, Serbia, Seychelles, China, Portugal, France, India, Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon, Russia and the UAE.
Preliminary matches will take place on Friday, December 5 and semi-finals and finals on Saturday, December 6 at Zayed Sports City. The closing ceremony will showcase a range of activities in honor of UAE National Day, including an exhibition of rare photos of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, a heritage corner, and folklore shows from various parts of the world.
